How auto apply tools work
You give the tool your CV, the job titles you want and where you'd work. It searches for matching jobs, fills in the application form on your behalf and sends it. Some also rewrite your CV for each job so it speaks to what that employer asked for.
What to check before you use one
- Does it check the job fits you? Applying to everything feels productive but gets you rejected in bulk. Look for a tool that reads the job advert and skips jobs where you don't meet the must haves.
- Does it make things up? Some tools let AI invent answers to screening questions or add skills you don't have. That can get you caught out at interview. A safe tool skips a question it can't answer from your real details.
- Where does it apply? Applying on the employer's own careers page usually reaches a real recruiter. Mass job board applications often sit in a pile.
- Can you see everything it sent? You should get a record of every application, with the date, so you can follow up and log it.
Where Job-AI fits
Job-AI is a Chrome extension built for UK job seekers. It searches company career sites and NHS jobs, checks each job against your CV, skips the ones you wouldn't get, and sends the rest with a CV tailored to that job. It never guesses answers about you: if a form asks something your details can't answer, it skips that job. You get an email for every application it sends.
